It is a perennial, evergreen, aromatic species with many branches and dark green, elongated leaves. It has square shoots that are upright in the middle and side branches at the edges. It has a large flowering that starts in spring. It is resistant to dry, poor and calcareous soils and it prefers sunny spots.
