Fritillaria is a perennial herbaceous plant with beautiful and impressive bell- shaped flowers that hang down. It blooms in early spring. It has green, lanceolate, elliptical leaves, starting from the base of the plant. It thrives in cool areas, while requiring protection from the hot sun. It needs very light watering and very well drained soils. Sandy and clayey soils are considered the most ideal.
