Description
Latin name: Corylus avellana ‘Contorta’

Dimensions: Maximum height 2,5- 3,5m./ Maximum earl diameter 2,5- 3,5m.
Deciduous shrub or small tree, highly decorative and special, because of its twisted branches. It has similar characteristics to the common hazel tree, it is slow growing and has gray- brown bark on its trunk. Its leaves are wide, oval and slightly fluffy, while it has beautiful, sessile, hanging and very special flowers late in winter to early spring in yellowish and brown colors. It prefers moist, fertile and well- drained soils, sunny spots and is very resistant to cold.
