Description
Latin Name: Citrus limetta ‘Pursha’
Flowering: April- September
Dimensions: Maximum height 3- 4m./ Maximum diameter of the earl 2- 3m.
The roman lime is a citrus fruit, not very tall, but it is quite compact, like the kumquat. Its fruits are yellow as the lemons, but their shape is round like an orange, with a crumpled peel. It is a very productive tree. It is considered a hybrid of citrus limetta and citrus sinensis. It has quite large and fragrant flowering with white flowers, ending in fruits, which vary in size and color and are present all year round on the tree. Its foliage is dark green and glossy, oblong and pointed, with a slightly winged stem. It prefers sunny spots in fertile soils, not calcareous, and does not like low temperatures.
