Description
Latin name: Juglans regia ‘Chandler’ & Juglans regia ‘Franquette’
Flowering: April- May
Dimensions: Maximum height 10- 15m./ Maximum earl diameter 8- 10m.
It is a deciduous tree of large growth. It has pteroid, green foliage and white flowers, formed in yolks. It bears fruits in autumn, with oval fruits that have a green bark. It is one of the most widespread and nutritious nuts. These two varieties are improved and very productive. It is sensitive to late frosts. It adapts to all soils, even calcareous, but does not thrive in very wet or very dry soils.
