Description
Latin name: Hydrangea paniculata
Flowering: August- September
Dimensions: Maximum height 2.5- 5m./ Maximum diameter 8- 10m.
It is one of the most adaptable and easy to grow hydrangeas. It is a deciduous shrub or small tree with beautiful, creamy white, conical flowers. It blooms from late summer to autumn, and at the end of flowering its flowers turn pink. Its leaves are toothed and ovate. It is very resistant to cold and it is better to be pruned in late winter. It prefers well- drained and fertile soils, like the rest of the hydrangeas, but it is more drought tolerant than others, and requires a little more sun.
