Description
Latin name: Eugenia uniflora ‘Etna fire’

Dimensions: Maximum height 3- 4m./ Maximum diameter 1,5- 2m.
It is a new variety, which took its name from its region of origin which is the foot of Mount Etna. It is an evergreen, upright, dense and compact shrub. It is resistant to cold (in relation to myrtifolia Newport), as it can withstand up to -7° C. Ideal plant for fences without much maintenance. It has very beautiful and shiny, round leaves, with green and brown color, while the new leaflets get a ruby color. Eugenia Etna is covered in summer with white, small flowers followed by purple berries. It has no special soil and climatic requirements.
