It is an evergreen herbaceous plant that prefers sunny planting spots. It can be planted near the sea. It is planted in all well- drained soils, even in calcareous ones. It is used in wall decorations, in borders and rock gardens, but also for ground coverage. It has very decorative foliage that creates round tufts with gray- blue leaves. Its flower can also be used as a cut flower.
