Slow growing, evergreen fruit tree with shiny leaves and compact growth. It withstands more than other citrus fruits to frost and during the fruiting it needs proper fertilization and watering. It has white, fragrant flowering in spring and large, orange fruits ripen late in autumn (there are also summer varieties eg. Valencia). It prefers full sun in fertile soil, not calcareous.
