Description
Latin name: Gelsemium sempervirens
Flowering: February- April
Dimensions: Maximum height 3- 6 meters
Gelsemium is an evergreen, climbing plant of rapid growth. Its leaves are lance- shaped and small in bright, dark green color. Its flowers are trumpet- shaped and some times they form clusters. They are yellow and some species have orange center. They are strongly fragrant and produce nectar that attracts a large number of pollinators. It is also used as a homeopathic medicine. It prefers moist, rich, well- drained soil and full sunshine.
