It is a plant with double or multiple flowering in late winter. Its flowers come in various colors and sprout from erect, hairy shoots. It has long stemed, green leaves, “torn”, palmate, toothed and lobed, starting from the base of the plant. It prefers sunny or semi- shaded planting spots. It is planted in protected locations, as it is sensitive to strong winds that tear the petals of its flowers, but it withstands very low temperatures. It prefers well- drained, light and fertile soils.
