Deciduous tree or shrub with upright development and smooth, decorative trunk. It has small, round, composite leaflets that obtain beautiful, reddish tones in autumn. It flowers with racemose red, pink, purple or white inflorescences. It requires sunny places for rich flowering, and it can live in all types of soils.
