Cherimola is a semi- evergreen, dense, fast- growing, tall shrub. It has oval- shaped, alternating leaves with pointed edges. It flowers in spring, when it has lost most of its leaves and its flowers are hermaphrodite, fragrant, green and grow either alone or in groups. It is a plant that can not withstand the very low but also the very high temperatures, as it is a tropical species. Its fruit is heart- shaped, with a smooth and green peel. It thrives on various types of soils, but it has a preference in sandy and clay ones. It needs good drainage and ventilation.
