Deciduous tree which is one of the most common Oaks of Greek forests. Its characteristic is that it has a short, fluffy stem and the underside of the leaves has a dense fluff. It is a monoecious plant and its fruit is a stemless acorn. It grows in poor soils, but it prefers fertile and loamy soils.
