Description

Latin name: Physocarpus opulifolius ‘Little joker’

Dimensions: Maximum height 1- 1.20m./ Maximum diameter 1- 1.20m.
It is a compact, deciduous, round shrub. It has burgundy- purple, lobed leaves, with three lobes per leaf that resemble those of a maple tree. At the beginning of summer, it produces its white- pink flowers in corymb inflorescences. After the flowers, brown- red fruits follow. It prefers slightly acidic, well- drained soils and exposure to sun or partial shade. It is resistant to cold and diseases, while it is good to avoid planting it in very hot or coastal areas.
