Description
Latin name: Physocarpus opulifolius ‘Diabolo’

Dimensions: Maximum height 2- 3m. / Maximum diameter 2- 3m.
It is a beautiful, deciduous, red and quite durable shrub. It has burgundy- purple, lobed leaves, with three lobes per leaf that look like Maple. At the beginning of summer it produces its white- pink flowers in inflorescences. The flowers are followed by brown- red fruits. It prefers slightly acidic soils, well drained and exposed to the sun or partial shaded spots. It is resistant to cold and diseases, but it is good to avoid planting in very hot and coastal areas.
