Description
Latin name: Monstera deliciosa
Dimensions: Maximum height: 10- 15m.
It is a tropical epiphyte with aerial roots and great growth. It has large, leathery, glossy leaves, heart- shaped. When they are small, the leaves are without holes, but as they grow, they open and form lobes. “Deliciosa” means “delicious” and has to do with the fruit that it makes, while “monstera” means “monstrous”, due to its size. It prefers moist and shaded places and not low temperatures.
