Hyssopus officinalis is a brightly colored shrub or bushy plant or perennial herb. It is an herb with many medicinal properties and important for beekeeping. It has a woody stem at the base, where straight branches grow. Its leaves are lanceolate, dark green, and in summer (depending on the variety) it produces inflorescences with pink, blue or (rarely) white, aromatic flowers. The flower is harvested, depending on the weather, twice a year. Harvesting is usually done at the end of spring and autumn. Durable plant, with no particular soil or climatic requirements.
