Description
Latin name: Cycas revoluta
Flowering: May- June
Dimensions: Maximum height 3- 4m./ Maximum diameter 2- 3m.
It looks like a palm tree but it belongs to the ferns. It is a slow growing plant with straight and strong trunk. It has elongated, pointy leaves 1- 1,5m long with glossy, green, leathery leaflets. In the center of the foliage it forms a crown where a male or female inflorescence appears. It prefers sandy and cool soils in full sun.
