Description
Latin Name: Cistus monspeliensis l.
Flowering: March- May
Dimensions: Maximum height 0.8- 1m.
It is an upright shrub of low growth of the Mediterranean zone, so we find it all over Greece, at an altitude of up to 800 meters. It has dense and fragrant branches that are sticky at the tops. Its leaves are dark green, lanceolate, hairy and without a stem. It has white flowers with yellow stamens and blooms in spring. It prefers barren and calcareous soils on rocky slopes.
