Description
Latin name: Metrosideros excelsus
Flowering: May- June
Dimensions: Maximum height 4- 6m./ Maximum diameter 3- 4m.
Shrub or shaped tree with round top. It has grey- green, shiny leaves on the upper side and plush on the underside with light, visible central ribs. In summer it forms radial inflorescences with long, red stamens and yellow anthers. It prefers mild climates and full sun.
