Description
Latin name: Washingtonia filifera
Dimensions: Maximum height 10- 15m./ Maximum earl diameter 4- 6m.
Large and rapid growth palm- like tree with robust, brownish trunk, wider at its base. It has strong, serrated stems, 1,5- 2m long and palmately- lobed leaves that seem like a fan. The diameter of the leaves is 0.8m. It prefers well- drained soils and sunny planting sites. It needs often watering in very hot periods.
