Description
Latin name:Magnolia grandiflora ‘Gallisoniensis’
Flowering: June- August
Dimensions: Maximum height 12- 15m./ Maximum diameter 8m.
It is the only evergreen magnolia which has large, leathery, glossy leaves, green on top and reddish on the underside. It flowers with very fragrant, large, creamy white, cup shaped flowers in summer. It has round fruits and when they open they have red seeds on the inside. It is planted in slightly deep, non- calcareous soils.
